Workforce Readiness eLearning courseOverview
Designed a four-module eLearning course to support live instruction for a workforce readiness program by a nonprofit organization. The course was created for teenagers and young adults pursuing job opportunities without traditional degrees.
Tools:Adobe Captivate
The Problem
The program relied on a workbook and live instruction to teach career skills, but learners needed a more engaging and flexible way to review and apply the material outside of class. Additionally, some content in the existing materials was outdated and needed to be revised for current workforce expectations.
Approach
I translated the existing workbook content into a digital format while improving clarity, structure, and relevance. I collaborated with stakeholders to ensure the course aligned with program goals and updated outdated material to better reflect current job-search practices. I focused on creating clear, accessible content tailored to learners with diverse educational backgrounds.
Solution
I developed a four-module eLearning course that restructured and modernized the original workbook content into an interactive, self-paced experience. Each module included organized content, knowledge checks, and assessments to reinforce learning and track understanding. The course was designed to complement live sessions while giving learners a more engaging and flexible way to review key concepts.
Outcome
The course provided a more accessible and structured learning experience, helping reinforce key workforce skills and supporting learners outside of live instruction.
